- Our centre was inaugurated on 24th October, 2011 by the Hon. Governor of Karnataka H.R. Bharadwaj. Dr. Bathi Reddy Head, Deparment of ENT Manipal hospital Bangalore and Dr. Rathnavalli, Head, Dept of Neurology Manipal Hospital were the Special invitees for the occasion.
- Communication DEALL program for children with communication disorders was inaugurated at Octave by Dr. Prathiba Karant , Director Comm DEALL trust Bangalore on.
- A One day workshop on tinnitus assessment and management was conducted in collaboration with Hansaton Akustik GmbH, Germany and Hearing Aid Centre Chennai on 18th Nov 2011. It was attended by students of Speech and Hearing colleges from Bangalore.
- A workshop on restorative and therapeutic yoga for children with special needs was conducted on 21st Jan 2012 by Sowmya Ayyar. The participants were parents with children with attention deficit disorders and autism spectrum disorders. The parents benefitted a lot from this interactive session.
- New Born Hearing Screening program was launched by Octave at Malathi Manipal Hospital on 1st, June 2012.
- Dr. Preeja Balan, was the resource person for the workshop on Augmentative and Alternative Communication: Communication made better Conducted by Father Muller College of Speech and Hearing, Mangalore September 7, 2011.
